Premise | Reflective Statement

This project was a challenge. It started with one idea, and now I think that it is developing to something way better. And I’m learning a lot.

The story has been my biggest challenge in this project. It took me a long time to have the final story; I wrote it and re-wrote it a lot of times. And I’m happy with the narration I have, and I don’t really think I have to re-write it again but to make sure I’m visually expressing the story way better. My goal is to make sure the story can be understood without any knowledge of Spanish. That means less character talking to the camera, and more action, dynamic and entertaining scenes. I still want to have a couple of scenes where the character speaks directly to the camera though. I think that’s what makes it different.

Because of being way too focused on having a good story, I didn’t pay too much attention to my character. I like my character, and I think it suits well the story, but I have to work more on it.

What I enjoyed the most about this project was the audio recording. At first, it was kind of weird listening to me, and I didn’t like how my voice sounded. Once I got used to it, I started having fun with it. It was a good experience.

In conclusion, I'm kind of disappointed with myself because I know I could have done better. I know I have had mistakes I could have seen before. Somehow I didn’t. But I’m positive. Now I know how to improve it.
